A familiar blend of gothic tinged indie rock that has yet to exceed the sum of its influences, but still offers up some catchy songs.
Hailing from Baltimore, MD, The Stars and the Sea is not an unusual entity in the world of independent music. With the band's debut six-track EP, dubiously titled 8 (and with a track titled "Seven" no less), Shane Gardner and Joe Amey make for enticing blend of gothic-drenched post-punk rock & roll with lyrics that are melancholy as they are romantic, as sweet and saccharine as they are bitter and black.

BIOGRAPHY
Stars and The Sea is a three piece rock band with a post punk influence from Baltimore, Maryland.
With influences ranging from Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, Iggy Pop, Jeff Buckley and AC/DC their sound is described as a mix of post punk and British influenced Rock.
Stars and The Sea's Shane Gardner writes with an introspective, honest and emotional current adding haunting passages within powerful and sparse moving arrangements.
